Review of Audiosurf for PC (Steam)

This’ll be a review of a not-so-well known game, called Audiosurf. It’s only available on Steam.

Sound: The whole game is a living song. Any MP3 music download you have can be played in-game. On top of that, they also have the “Audiosurf Radio” which has 4 different songs on it, updated weekly. In other words, this game has literally endless sound possibilities. Sound: 10/10

Presentation: For a game that has you moving forward on a track as the entire experience, this game does a surprisingly good job at still keeping things entertaining. The visuals get repetitive somewhat quickly, but the graphics are good, none the less. Presentation: 7.5/10

Gameplay: With a plethora of characters and varying special abilities, this game has a wide variety of gameplay styles, along with three different difficulties and loads of in-game power-ups. All of these make the game’s simple goal of collecting different colored block clusters really interesting. Gameplay: 9/10

Multiplayer: With two block-collecting rockets on the screen and four columns to collect them in, this fun and frantic game becomes even more fun and frantic. Multiplayer: 10/10

Length: The game has no end, because whenever you find a new song you like, that’s a new level in the game. I spent countless hours playing all the different music I liked. Length: 10/10

Overall: Audiosurf gets an astounding 9.3/10! This is a fantastic game that should be more well-known.
